' a means of raising money by selling numbered tickets of which are
subsequently drawn at random, the holder or holders of such tickets winning a prize. '

Our first BIG Money Raffle worked great as we were able to pay for the Fall Social and cover the cost of some meetings, which was our goal. The first two prizes taken at the last raffle were the gift cards. We asked our members what prizes would they like to see offered and we had a number of suggestions. Chartered Fishing trip, weekend in a bed and breakfast, cruise out of Galveston, and weekend for family at Kalahari Resorts were just a few that were submitted.

The Entertainment Committee decided to let the Raffle Winners pick their prize and approved a raffle with 5 prizes, all $1,000.00 gift cards. Tickets - $100.00 per ticket.
